In-Home Support Services.  Arranged through the Social Security Administration (SSA) which is the federal government agency that administers Social Security retirement benefits, survivor benefits, disability benefits, and the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program, 1.800.772.1213 or www.ssa.gov.  In Home Supportive Services (IHSS): (888) 944-4477, www.ladpss.org

Adult Day Health Care (ADHC):  These are centers that provide on-site services during day including nursing, physical, and transportation.  There are several in Orange County:

Medi-Cal - MSSP (Multipurpose Senior Services Program) Provides HCSB, case management; respite care and home modifications; counseling.

Medi-Cal – Community Based Waiver Programs Designed for those who would otherwise require LTC in a nursing facility, intermediate care facility or hospital.  Medi-Cal Waiver Program: In Home Operations, Department of Health Services, P.O. VA Aid & Attendance
The Department of Veterans' Affairs (VA) administers federal veterans' benefits, programs, and facilities, 1.800.827.1000 or www.va.gov.  The California Department of Veterans' Affairs (ODVA) administers state veterans' programs and facilities, 503.373.2085 or 1.800.952-5626 or Veterans' services officers who work at local aging and disability services offices help people determine whether they may be eligible for VA benefits and assist them in the application process.  The local office in Anaheim is located at 2569 W.
